Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information iFalcon.net collects through the VesselBoss app and the vesselboss.com website, how we use it, and your choices. VesselBoss is a product of iFalcon.net.

1. Information we collect

Account: your email address, your name and the language you choose.
Boat records: the boats you create or are invited to, and the repairs, trips, logbook entries, notes and photos entered by the boat's users, with the history of who changed what and when.
Position: when a user turns on position reporting or answers a position request, the app sends the location of that device (latitude, longitude, accuracy, speed, heading and time) and it is shown to the users of that boat. Position is only collected while this is turned on and VesselBoss is open on the device.
Devices: if you turn on notifications, the address your browser gives us to deliver them to that device.
Payment: card payments are handled by our payment processor. We receive the confirmation of the payment, the card brand and its last four digits, not the full card number. We also keep the country you select, to apply Panama tax.
Website and app use: basic technical information such as IP address and browser type, collected through server logs.

2. How we use it

To provide VesselBoss: store your boat's records, share them with the people on the boat, and send sign-in codes, invitations and notifications.
To charge subscriptions and send receipts.
To give support when you write to us.
To prevent fraud and keep our systems secure.
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations in Panama.

3. Who can see your boat's records

The records of a boat are visible to the users of that boat: its Admins, Operators and Viewers. Admins choose who they are. People outside the boat cannot see them.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

Our payment processor and bank, to complete payments.
Hosting and email providers that run VesselBoss for us.
The map provider, which receives the area of the map you look at in order to draw it, but not your boat's records.
Authorities, when required by law.

5. Security and storage

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restrict access to personal data to people who need it. VesselBoss also keeps a copy of your boat's records on your device so the app works without signal; that copy is removed when you log out. Records are kept while the boat exists in VesselBoss, including when it is read-only, and are deleted within 90 days after an Admin asks us to close the boat. Payment records are kept as long as Panamanian tax and accounting rules require.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information. Write to support@vesselboss.com and we will reply within 30 days. We handle requests in line with Panama's personal data protection law (Law 81 of 2019).

7. Cookies and storage on your device

VesselBoss uses one cookie to keep you signed in, and stores on your device the records and settings the app needs to work. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Children

VesselBoss is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
